Garfield G-MEN 2026 Baseball Preview
Team Name: James A. Garfield G-MEN
2024/25 Record: 15-10
Head Coach: Mike Paes - 11th year
Coaching staff: Howard Moore, Scott Eberly, Kyle Workman
Key returning players: Brandyn Bogucki, Brock Pesicek, Garet Warnick, Jack Neikirk, Carson Nortin, Jared Cardinal.
Position outlook:
Infield: Brandyn Bogucki has been starting since his freshman year where he broke the schools batting average record. He has been a bright spot every year he has played for me and is a once in a decade type of player/person. Jared Cardinal started last year at third base as a freshman and I am looking forward to see him with some experience now. Some other names to hear this year is Parker Gill, Kyle Workman and Mason Andrikanich.
Outfield: Jack Neikirk will hold down the fort for another year in center field where he has excelled. Carson Norton has played three years for me in right and Nate Baczkowski and Holden Kissell will be in play as well.
Catcher: Brock has started catching for me since his freshman year and am looking forward to him having a hot bat this year.
Pitching staff: Garet Warnick had an excellent year this year and I am looking forward to see what he delivers his senior year. Jared Cardinal, Bogucki and Neikirk are other names to watch out for.
Season outlook / expectations: “I just want to compete everyday and exceed most others expectations. If we have a successful year it means we had guys step up on the mound and at the plate,” said Paes. “We have to improve our batting from last year to compete in every game. I have a great group of kids that are a pleasure to be around and it is a great family dynamic.”
Landscaping- mowing, trimming, flower beds, gravel, mulch, leaf blowing, removal of old landscaping and planting of new landscaping, Hardscaping. Excavating- trenching, downspouts, all around excavating.
