Streetsboro’s Season Ends in 65-49 District Semi-Final Loss to West Branch

Beloit, OH- The Streetsboro Rockets 2025-2026 boys’ basketball season came to an end Tuesday evening at West Branch as they fell to the West Branch Warriors by a score of 64-49 in District Semifinal action. The Rockets trailed 16-10 after the first quarter as Senior forward Christopher Grabill led the rockets with 5 points.

The Warriors were able to extend their lead in the 2nd quarter as they took a 36-22 lead to the halftime break. The Warriors were able to balance their size with the athleticism of Senior Jeremiah Thomas to build the lead. At the midway point, Grabill was still the leading scorer for the Rockets, adding his 2nd triple on the evening in the 2nd quarter. In the 3rd quarter, it was Senior Janiere Cook leading the comeback attempt with 6 points in the quarter, but after 24 minutes of play, the lead remained 4 points, 46-32 in the host’s advantage.

It was Junior PJ Robinson who led the Rockets charge in the final stanza, as he deposited 12 of his team high 17 in the quarter. Joining him in double digits was Cook. The Warriors were led by Thomas who led all scorers on the evening with 23. The defeat ends the Rockets season with a record of 13-11.
