Field Falcons 2026 Softball Preview

Team Name: Field Falcons

2025 Record: 22-8

Head coach: Beth Dyer, 20th season

Coaching staff: Bob Bauer, Dan Battaglia, Joe DeLeone

Key returning players: Averi Weis, Lilli Sutkowy, Addy Lay, Sophia Roberts

Position outlook:

Infield: Infield will consist of Bri Homan (So)-steady 3rd baseman who has shown poise at the hot corner. 

Gracie Hoskin (Jr), Allison Barto (So)-both are good middle infielders who work well together and demonstrate good hands and footwork.  

Lilliana Sutkowy (Sr),  Julianna Baker (So)-1st base both have good footwork around the bag.

Outfield: The outfield will be anchored by senior Addy Lay in center field.  She has speed, a great arm and is able to cover a lot of ground.  Also seeing playing time in the outfield will be Sophia Roberts, senior, junior Sienna Amos and freshmen Ashlynn Logsdon and Ryann Huddleston. 

Catcher: Catching duties will be covered by senior Averi Weis.  She's a  physically strong catcher who handles pitchers well, has a powerful arm and great control of the game behind the plate. One of the top catchers in the are.  

Pitching staff: Majority of the pitching will be done by junior Adrianna Berry.  She has shown a great work ethic in the offseason and is eager to learn.   Adrianna is a a strong pitcher with great control and consistency.

Season outlook / expectations: “We are an inexperienced team but led by a strong senior class,” said Dyer.  “The team has been working hard and eager to carry on the tradition of winning.”
