Rockets use a late 4th quarter surge to put away Ravenna 73-55
RAVENNA, OH- On Wednesday evening a struggling Streetsboro squad who had lost four of their first five games traveled to James L. Coll Arena to face a much improved 3-2 Ravens squad. It was an early season Metro Athletic Conference matchup in game six of the season for both teams. The Rockets would use a 14-1 run to close the game and take home a 73-55 win.
Streetsboro would open the game scoring six of the first eight points after a Braden Hodge three put them up 6-2 early on. CJ Ross would hit a three at the other end for Ravenna before the Rockets went on a 13-2 run with seven of those coming from leading scorer Ryan Roscoe to open up a 19-7 lead.

After a Ravens free throw split the Rockets would hold a 19-8 lead after one.
The Rockets maintained the 11 point lead through the first few minutes of quarter two before back to back three’s from Dallas Morris, the last of which he was fouled and converted a four point play, grew the Streetsboro lead to 29-11.

The Ravens would come back with a 7-0 run capped off by a Mark Miller three to cut it back to eleven at 29-18. After a and-one conversion by Roscoe a few minutes later, another Miller three sparked a 9-0 Ravens run before Roscoe ended the half with a bucket to make it a 38-28 Rockets lead at the break.

Ravenna would come out strong to start the 2nd half as CJ Ross scored five straight to cut the deficit to 38-33 for Ravenna. The Rockets would push it back up to ten before Ross would spark a 7-0 run to make it a 45-42 game.

The Ravens would score the final four points of the quarter to cut the Rockets lead to 49-48 after three. They outscored the Rockets 20-11 in the 3rd.
It stayed a one point game through the first few minutes of the 4th before a 6-0 Rockets run made it a 59-52 game. Mark Miller would cut it to five with a bucket before an Ethan Laryea score inside started a 14-1 run the balance of the quarter with big buckets from Laryea, PJ Robinson and Janiere Cook helping the cause.

Ravenna could only muster a Ross free throw split down the stretch as the Rockets put away the 73-55 win.
Ryan Roscoe had a big night for the Rockets dropping 27 points along with 9 rebounds. Ethan Laryea had 13 points including 8 in the 4th. Brade Hodge had 12 points.
CJ Ross had a game high 32 points for the Ravens.
The Rockets will look for two in a row Friday when they host Field while the Ravena look to bounce back on Saturday vs Coventry.
