Streetsboro uses big 4th quarter to take down Aurora 63-50
AURORA, OH- Friday night hoops in Aurora saw the Greenmen hosting the Streetsboro Rockets in a non-league contest between two Portage County rivals with only 6 miles separating the two schools. After a fast start by the Greenmen, a close game went the Rockets way after a big 4th quarter as they took home the big 63-50 road win.
Aurora would get off to a fast start as they jumped out to a 12-1 lead following a pair of Luke Hilditch scores and a Luke Bonnette basket inside.

After a Ryan Roscoe bucket for the Rockets and a pair of Hilditch free throws for Aurora, the Rockets would score the final four points of the quarter as the Greenmen held a 14-7 lead after one.
The 2nd quarter opened with a pair of Janiere Cook free throws and a Bonnette score for Aurora giving them a 16-9 lead. The Rockets would then go on a 9-0 run capped off by a Roscoe and-one conversion giving them their first lead of the game at 18-16.

The Greenmen would come right back with a big three ball from Max Keyes to regain the lead 19-18.

It was lead change exchanges for the balance of the 2nd quarter before a Dallas Morris three to end the half would give the Rockets a 28-26 lead going into the break.

The 3rd quarter was a back and forth affair. Streetsboro held a two point lead after a Cook score inside before a pair of Josh Harrell free throws and a Johnny Trivisonno basket put Aurora up 34-32.

The Rockets would regain the lead on the next possession when PJ Robinson nailed a three for his first points of the game putting the Rockets back on top 35-34. The Rockets led by five late in the quarter when Johnny Trivisonno converted a tough score with the foul inside cashing in on the and-one opportunity to cut the Rockets lead to 43-41.

A Harrell free throw split would make it a 43-42 Rockets lead after three.
PJ Robinson would start the 4th scoring the first five points putting the Rockets up 48-42 after a three ball.

After back to back Greenmen buckets by Bonnette and Trivisonno, the Rockets would go on a 11-0 run capped off by a Roscoe score and foul to stretch the lead to 59-46 and put the game out of reach for Aurora with under two minutes to play.

They would close it out at the free thrown line with Ethan Laryea hitting 4/4 to put away the 63-50 win.
Ryan Roscoe scored a game high 22 points for the Rockets. PJ Robinson chipped in 11 points with 8 of those coming in the 4th.
Luke Bonnette led the Greenmen with 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Streetsboro will look for their 3rd win in a row when they travel to Hudson on Saturday while the Greenmen look to bounce back Tuesday at Barberton.
