Aurora leads from start to finish in 52-9 win over Cuyahoga Falls
AURORA, OH- Friday night the Aurora Lady Greenmen took on their Suburban League foe the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers in game two of a doubleheader after the Aurora boys team beat Cuyahoga Falls 58-56. The Lady Greenmen were looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Copley that ended their 10 game winning streak. They would jump out quick and never take the foot off the gas in this one as they took down Cuyahoga Falls 52-9.
Aurora would open the game scoring early and often. Brooke Pierce got the Greenmen offense going with a jumper from the free throw line to open the scoring.

They would begin the game on a 15-0 run that started with the Pierce jumper and ended with a pair of free throws from Reese Witting. Izzy Fenn knocked down a pair of her own free throws for the Black Tigers to end the Aurora scoring run. Jillian Monastero would score the final four points of the 1st quarter for Aurora as they led 19-2 after one.
Monastero would open the 2nd quarter with a jumper making it six straight points from her.

Caitlyn Pierce would hit a jumper followed by a three from sister Brooke to open up a 26-2 lead.

After a pair of Kayce Lee free throws for Cuyahoga Falls, the lady Greenmen would score the final six points of the 1st half to take a 32-4 lead into the break. The combination of hitting open shots and some stingy defense led to the large lead for Aurora to close the 1st half.
Cuyahoga Falls would open the 3rd quarter with a score by Kayce Lee before Brooke Pierce scored inside with the foul for Aurora.

That would start a 10-0 Aurora run to end the 3rd as Reese Witting followed with a corner three and Aurora led 45-6 heading to the 4th.
Aurora would outscore Cuyahoga Falls 10-3 in the 4th with a running clock to put away the 52-9 win.
Brooke Pierce led the way for Aurora with 14 points. Reese Witting chipped in with 9 points and Caitlyn Pierce finished with 8.
